Jose Romero has exhibited his painting in Europe, Asia, Canada and the United States.
He is a native of Tayabas Quezon, Romero took art lesson in Canada and studied in the United States at the Art Instruction School in Minneapolis , Minnesota, and in france at the Paris American Academy Beaux Des Artes. The Degree of Doctor of Art was bestowed on Romero by the Marquis Guiseppe Scicluna University in Malta in 1986.Jose Romero has completed almost 1,000 works, the most prominent being the "Red Maddona". Completed in 1974, The "Red Maddona" was published in "Artist USA" in 1978 with other well known artist such as Andy Warhol, Marc Chagall and Salvador Dali.
